EURAS NEXTGEN Student Platform is the official student initiative of the Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS), formed by student representatives from its member institutions. As a dynamic and future-oriented structure, NEXTGEN empowers students to actively participate in the international academic landscape and contribute meaningfully to the global higher education agenda.
Functioning also as an advisory board to the Executive Board of EURAS, the platform serves as a bridge between student communities and institutional leadership, providing a voice for the next generation of academic leaders.
NEXTGEN aims to:
- Strengthen student involvement in EURAS activities and across the broader educational ecosystem.
- Encourage the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and experiences among students from diverse regions.
- Support joint academic, scientific, social, cultural, and sports initiatives.
- Promote contributions to global sustainability, peace, and prosperity.
Each EURAS member university is encouraged to appoint two student representatives—one undergraduate and one graduate student—who meet the platform’s academic and ethical standards, with attention to gender balance and institutional diversity.
NEXTGEN operates through:
- A General Assembly convening twice a year to discuss common goals and initiatives.
- An Administrative Board of nine elected students responsible for the coordination of projects, governance, communication, and representation. Board members serve for a two-year term and meet regularly online and in person, including during the annual EURIE Summit.
All NEXTGEN activities are conducted with full transparency and in alignment with EURAS values. Proper attribution to EURAS and the display of its official logo are ensured in every communication and project output.
By fostering cross-cultural dialogue, leadership development, and collaborative action, EURAS NEXTGEN is shaping a stronger and more connected academic future—led by students, for students.
